Regional Journey
Private Hosted Day Through the Riverlands
Regional Journey is a private tour in Eastern Ontario, connecting farms, forest trails, scenic lookouts, local food and handcrafted wine through the Rideau Lakes and Leeds and Grenville region. Designed for travellers who want more than a self-guided drive, this private hosted day brings together thoughtful routing, local introductions and a slower, more personal way to explore The Riverlands.
Begin your morning walking with goats through open fields, where the day immediately feels lighter, more joyful and more connected. Wander through sunlit trails to a quiet lookout where the landscape asks you to slow down. Then settle into the rhythm of the countryside over pizza, wine and conversation with people who shape this region by hand and heart. This is not sightseeing. It is a day spent within the region, not just passing through it.
Best bases for this itinerary: Gananoque, Brockville, Westport and surrounding areas. We collect you at your door and return you in time for dinner.

Highlights
Regional Journey is a private tour in Eastern Ontario for travellers who want the countryside opened through local introductions, not just mapped as a route.
Departure
Your day begins with a personal pick-up from your accommodations. Your host greets you, settles you in, and offers a relaxed introduction to the route ahead. From there, the day unfolds at an easy pace, with time to notice the landscape, understand where you are, and experience the region through thoughtful stops and local introductions.
Goat Ridge Farm
This small family farm is located in Seeleys Bay, Ontario. They grow garlic, raise Nubian goats, poultry and pigs on 300 rolling acres of the Frontenac Arch Biosphere. They offer pastured meats and seasonal veggies and the pottery studio at the farm is stocked with handmade functional pottery. Upon our arrival, we will get an introduction to the goats before beginning our Goat Walk. This is an engaging activity where we accompany the goats on a guided stroll through the scenic rolling farm property with up to 30 goats frolicking along. The experience combines the joy of animal interaction with the pleasure of being outdoors.
Foley Mountain Conservation Area
After our visit with goats, we will take a scenic drive to Foley Mountain Conservation Area. With several trails at varying lengths and difficulties, spend some time exploring and be sure to visit Spy Rock for a stunning view of Westport and the surrounding lakes.
Scheuermanns Vineyard & Winery
Lose yourself in rustic romance, where handcrafted wines, wood-fired pizza, and lakefront views come together in effortlessly stylish surroundings. With its relaxed vibe, repurposed charm, and a hint of edge, this boutique winery offers a fresh take on countryside cool. Sip a glass of their small-batch reds or crisp whites, savour a wood-fired pizza straight from the oven, and soak in the atmosphere that locals and travellers alike can’t stop talking about. Every pour is rooted in craftsmanship, and every moment is made to linger.
