The Train Connection is a private, hosted arrival and departure service connecting the Brockville or Gananoque VIA Rail station with select partner accommodations.

Step off the train and your local host will be waiting to welcome you, assist with your luggage and bring you to your stay. Along the way, you’ll receive a personal introduction to the region you are about to explore.

It is more than a transfer. It is where your experience begins.

Who the Train Connection is for

The Train Connection is available to guests who:

  • are arriving at or departing from the Brockville or Gananoque VIA Rail station
  • have booked an eligible private experience with A 1000 Ways
  • are staying with one of our accommodation partners in Brockville, Maitland or Gananoque
  • are travelling in a private group of up to four guests

Transfer rates

Brockville VIA Rail station
To or from partner accommodations in Brockville or Maitland
$50 each way

Gananoque VIA Rail station
To or from partner accommodations in Gananoque
$75 each way

Return transfers are charged at the same one-way rate. Journeys requiring additional distance will be quoted individually.

Winter availability

The Train Connection is available from early November through the end of March.

Pickups and drop-offs are available between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Transfers outside these hours may be possible with advance notice.

The Train Connection is arranged personally rather than through our online booking calendar. Once you have booked, or are ready to book, your winter experience, contact us directly.

When you get in touch, please include:

  • your travel dates
  • your arrival and departure station and train times
  • the number of guests travelling
  • your partner accommodation
  • the experience you have booked or plan to book

We will confirm availability before adding the Train Connection to your reservation.
