Beginning in the heritage village of Merrickville, this private culinary journey connects guests with the makers and hosts behind some of the region’s distinctive flavours. Through tastings, conversation and trusted introductions, Tour de Taste reveals how food, enterprise and place come together across South Eastern Ontario.

The Newboro Passage
Based in Newboro, The Newboro Passage is a story-led experience centred on the place where the most defining moment in the construction of the Rideau Canal unfolded. Its intimate, private format creates the space for guests to develop a deeper understanding of the waterway. Through historic sites, personal interpretation, a private lunch and a rarely seen heritage interior, guests discover the decisions, ambitions and consequences that changed the course of the canal and shaped the community around it.

Venturing beyond the familiar hotspots and deeper into the 1000 Islands, this private journey reveals a side of the region that most travellers never encounter. Regional Journey
A guided hike alongside a lively herd of goats sets the backdrop for this private journey through the Frontenac Arch and Rideau Lakes. From the rolling farmland near Seeley’s Bay, the day continues to expansive views over Westport and a relaxed vineyard lunch, connecting guests with the landscape, agriculture and independent enterprise that define this part of the region.

Brockville: The Court Town
Brockville is easy to underestimate when encountered without context. This private, story-led experience reveals how law, commerce, railways and the city’s commanding position on the St. Lawrence shaped one of Ontario’s most storied river communities. Historic interpretation, the courthouse district, a relaxed café pause, the Brockville Railway Tunnel and a thoughtfully prepared picnic bring the city’s confidence and ambition into view.
