Tour de Saison
Taste the season along the St. Lawrence
As the countryside settles into its quieter rhythm, Tour de Saison reveals a warmer, more intimate side of the region. This private culinary tour in South Eastern Ontario follows the St. Lawrence corridor, bringing together the flavours that make the cooler months especially inviting: orchard-grown cider and freshly baked apple pastries, authentic Spanish pintxos recognized among the region’s best, and small-batch spirits crafted from locally grown organic grain.
More than a series of tastings, Tour de Saison is an opportunity to slow down, step inside distinctive local places, and meet the people whose work gives the region its character. Each stop has been thoughtfully chosen, creating an unhurried four-hour journey filled with generous flavours, genuine conversation, and the pleasure of having the day arranged entirely for you.
Best bases for this itinerary: Maitland, Brockville, and the Gananoque area. We collect you at your door and return you in time for dinner.

Highlights
Departure
We begin with a pick-up at your accommodations. Your guide will greet you with a warm welcome and introductions before sharing a brief overview of the day ahead. As we set out through the St. Lawrence corridor, you will glimpse the riverside towns and countryside that shape the season’s story. Settle in, get comfortable, and let the day unfold at an easy pace.
Hall’s Apple Market
Our first stop takes us to Hall’s Apple Market, a beloved family-run destination where everything begins in the orchard. Here, you can savour freshly baked apple pastry and sample small-batch ciders made from apples grown on the property. Step inside the bakery and country market to explore homemade preserves, local goods, and signature apple creations that celebrate Ontario’s harvest. It is a welcoming introduction to the seasonal flavours of the St. Lawrence corridor.
Little Barcelona
At Little Barcelona, guests enjoy a curated selection of pintxos, the traditional small bites of northern Spain. These pintxos were named Ottawa and the region’s best appetizer of 2025 by a leading food critic in the Ottawa Citizen, a recognition that reflects both craft and character. Warm and convivial, this stop is about flavour, conversation, and the pleasure of sharing something exceptional.
King’s Lock Craft Distillery
At King’s Lock Craft Distillery, craftsmanship and community come together in the St. Lawrence corridor. One of only a few certified organic distilleries in Canada, King’s Lock produces small-batch spirits from grains grown on its nearby family farm. Inside the welcoming tasting room, each pour reveals a story of sustainability, tradition, and experimentation. From the first taste to the last, you will experience the care and pride behind this distinctive local distillery.
